When Sereen came home from the hospital and began her six months of chemotherapy, my wife went to the library to look for resources that she could use to help explain to a two and a half year old girl what was going on. She found it very difficult to piece meal together the resources and thus took the initiative to work with the library in putting together a care package that could be checked out as a single item. Resources include:
- Children books with themes of going to the doctor
- Puppet with medical equipment that allows for the child to do their own examinations
- DVD’s
Last week the library called us to take pictures of the now completed package. All the items have a sticker that say “Donated in the name of Sereen Abdelmoneim”.
